Our customer, one of the leading textiles producers of sportswear with operations in 4 countries in Southeast Asia, is setting an example for lower energy costs and more sustainability in the textile industry.
The main component of the installation for the garment factory in Cambodia's capital Phnom Penh, which was commissioned in October 2017, is a photovoltaic system (PV) with a capacity of 370 kWp and DHYBRID energy management. The heart of the energy solution is the DHYBRID Universal Power Platform (UPP), which fully integrates and automatically controls the roof top PV system with the electricity grid and the existing backup generators.
This allows our customer to fully utilize the potential of the PV system, unlike conventional installations, even in times of power outages. This is particularly important in Cambodia, as the reliability of the public electricity grid is not always given due to the country's increasing energy demand. Many factories therefore have to resort to expensive diesel power.
Furthermore, the DHYBRID UPP enables the customer to centrally measure and visualize holistic energy data of his entire production process. Based on this data, energy costs can be further reduced in the future and work processes can be optimized.
